Tulku Orgyen Phuntsok Rinpoche was born in the Hidden Land of Pemakod, a sacred place well known to Himalayan Buddhists. The spiritual power and history of Pemakod is similar to that of the land of Odiyana. Some traditional accounts even identify Pemakod’s Nirmanakaya holy place of Cita Puri as the location of Lake Dhanakosha, from which Guru Padmasambhava is said to have been born.
​When Tulku Orgyen was one year old, H.H. Dudjom Rinpoche recognized him as the rebirth of a great master of Pemakod, Togden Kunzang Longdrol. As the regent of Padmasambhava (also called Orgyen Rinpoche, or Precious Master of Odiyana) Dudjom Rinpoche gave Togden’s young incarnation the name Orgyen P’huntsok (Excellence of Odiyana).

Nagas are considered one of the Eight Classes of Spirits, known as 'Lu' in Tibetan as powerful guardians of the natural world and the Dharma, often associated with water, rain, and fertility. The Smoke Offering Ceremony involves burning fragrant smoke from juniper and other aromatic herbs, which is believed to restore harmony with the environment and generate good fortune, such as increased health and wealth. The ritual is often performed to address environmental issues like water contamination or to seek blessings for well-being and safety.

Arya Tara, considered by Tibetan Buddhists to be the “Mother of all the Buddhas,” is the feminine embodiment of enlightened compassion and swift, liberating activity to benefit beings. She is the remover of all obstacles and the fulfiller of all wishes. By chanting the praises to her 21 manifestations, reciting her mantra, and meditating upon her enlightened body speech and mind, we can awaken Tara’s wisdom qualities in our own being.
