BUDDHIST MIND SCIENCE: Module 2

Transforming the mind to cultivate lasting happiness
4 SATURDAYS • IN PERSON & ONLINE
NOV 22, 29 & Dec 6, 13: 9:30-11:30 am pacific
This Buddhist Mind Science series is offered in collaboration with Vajrapani Institute and Land of Medicine Buddha, with the Wisdom Center hosting & handling registrations.

In this module, we delve further into meditation, emphasizing its role in nurturing positive emotions and mental states—the cornerstone of lasting happiness. We integrate insights from current science to guide our practices, focusing on attention training, well-being, empathy, and positive emotions to transform the mind. Practical exercises, especially breath awareness, are offered to calm the mind and improve focus, fostering mental clarity and tranquility. By applying core meditation skills—equanimity, stabilization, analysis, transformation, and motivation—we learn to recognize and manage our emotions more effectively. As we strengthen resilience and stay present in daily life, we continue to develop positive inner qualities that support lasting happiness.

While each class builds on the themes of the series, participants are welcome to attend any individual session. Each class stands on its own and offers valuable takeaways in both theory and practice—so feel free to drop in as you’re able!
Register: Standard $80/course; student/fixed income: $40/course
