4 Mondays: April 27th-May 18th, 2026 1- 3 pm pacific time
This course explores the newest developments in neuroscience combined with the proven techniques of Buddhism. Improve memory, mood, and flexibility of your mind. Neuroplasticity is the brain’s ability to reorganize itself by forming new neural connections throughout life. In order to reconnect, the neurons need to be stimulated through activity. Most people know about exercise and diet to help us keep fit as we grow older, but “brain exercise” is not as well known.
Denice Everham has developed a curriculum of exercises, memory work, and creative thinking to help improve our mental functioning as we get older. She’ll share the neuroscience and research about the brain and what we can do to keep it young. Through games, puzzles, and group activities, we will have fun learning to exercise our brains and flourish.
